Toyota Production System
The Toyota production system is constantly improved and represents the most efficient production system in the world, which almost all car producers try to imitate. It is based on thorough organization of work, high efficiency and strict quality. The aim is to manufacture a product of the highest quality for the lowest possible price.
When Toyota has invented the new philosophy of production in the fifties of the twentieth century, it stood for a revolution similar to introduction of line production by Henry Ford at the beginning of the century.
The basis of TPS is the principle of never-ending improvements of standards, called the Kaizen. We are constantly improving ourselves and our corporate activities in order to manage and do things better. In practice this means that the production process is being developed every day.
